Marström in Västervik are currently finnishing the moulds and a first prepreg carbon kayak will be made at end of June. We have now started to fill the order book. If you are interested to paddle a Fusion already this year, please send us an email at info@nordickayaks.se. The exact price and weight will be official after the first sample is made but you can be sure it will be impressive! While waiting for the real thing you can still try our prototype in Stockholm with the new innovativ pedal steering.

We have had a lot of request on a shorter more stable multisport kayak and that is what we are doing right now. It is designed by Björn Thomasson and will measure 5.60 x 43 cm ,based on the Fusion hull, but will have a regular open cockpit.
Price range from about 16- 25 000 SEK, glasfibre, carbon/kevlar and carbon. We will present it after the summer.

Tommi finished 4:th at SKM!

The race had a really tough line up this year with some of the best Swedish marathon kayakers. Tommi was staying in the top bunch for the first lap but had to let them go during the second loop.
"I got tired at early stage and couldn't show any good performance this time, but I was very pleased with the kayak, too bad I couldn't really show the full potential of the boat", says Tommi after the race. We thank Tommi for coming here and hope he will get back to take some revenge on the Swedish kayakers...

Tommi Ritala, Finland's best marathon kayaker 11:th on last years Marathon World champs, is coming to Sweden for Stockholm Kayak Marathon 30 of August. Tommi will represent Team Nordic Kayaks with a black Rocket Carbon, perfect in the rough conditions there in some way always are in the middle of Stockholm. We wish Tommi all the best of luck! Come and see the race, the start and finish will be at Pampas Marina.

The Åre weekend

What a great weekend in Are, 3 of the first 4 kayaks was a Rocket and the first one was paddled by the worldchamp Richard Ussher! There was several other Rocket and Rocket+ paddlers and none tipped over on the river, well done! We have now our first batch of Kajner paddles at home, just contact us if you want to try. Sweden's most popular solo multisport, Are extreme challenge is coming up- 28 of June. We can tell that there will be a numerous of the top athlete that will use our Rockets, including the very best! New Rockets ordered

We have had a great interest of our new Rocket+. All glasfibre kayaks from the first and the second batch is sold out. We will make a new order from our factory now so contact us and make a reservation to make sure you have your Rocket+ during the summer! We have a couple Rocket+ in carbon/kevlar at home in the classic "Rocketlook"- white top and clear carbon/kevlar bottom, weight 13.5 kg.

We have been looking for the right paddle brand to sell, we have now found what we where hoping for - the combination of quality and a reasonable price, the hungarian paddles from Kajner! We are the official dealer of the Stockholm area and the multisport market in Sweden.

We will have Kajner 4, Medium/Small and Small with split shafts home in a couple of weeks.
Kayak updates

There are some updates on this years kayaks: Cockpit has been made wider (on both models) than last year to make sure that you guys with bigger belly's can fit well:), more like a modern ICF kayak.
The steering lines are in kevlar to save some grams but still stiff for fast response.
We will offer high and low seats to both models so that you could changes after conditions and the size of your butt.
The first Rocket+ is now here!

The first Rocket+ is now here! We will try to show it as much as possible at multisport and kayak races during the next couple of months. If you want a test session for you or your team just contact us. The interest of the kayak is high and you must sign up now if you want your kayak in the first butch that will come to Sweden in the middle of May.
